Trion Announces Rift Closed Beta Session

Trion Worlds has announced that the first closed beta session for Rift: Planes of Telara will open on 3 December and run until 6 December.

Dubbed "Rise of the Defiant," this event will allow players to reach level 20 with their characters, and include the full starting zone for the techno-dabbling Defiant faction. There'll also be the chance to visit the land of Freemarch, currently under threat from the Plane of Death - as well as opportunities to tour the fortress-city of Meridan and battle the undead in the Iron Tomb dungeon.

It's sounding a lot like the sort of thing that was shown to the press during the recent Trion event. To get yourself signed up for a chance to participate in this closed beta (as well as future sessions,) head over to the official Rift site and fill in your details.

You may also want to keep an eye on twitter and Facebook, as Trion will periodically be giving out VIP beta-keys and we'll be giving keys away right here on IncGamers very shortly so stay tuned!

The press release notes that "If selected, testers will be notified via email a few days before the start of each beta event with download and feedback instructions."
