Star Wars: The Old Republic, Crew Members & Crafting Video

Doing busy-work in MMOs isn't much fun for most people. Why would you spend hours scraping together enough materials for a lengthy crafting session when you could be out there being all dynamic and hero-ey?

BioWare seem to have taken this question to heart with Star Wars: The Old Republic, as this latest video about crew members and their abilities shows. Only one companion can be taken on a mission, so you may as well whip the others into shape and force them to slave away at a hot crafting bench while you're out. If that doesn't appeal, you can also send them out to scavange and gather resources for you. They can even undertake diplomatic missions on your behalf (assuming they've been suitably trained.)

Of course, if you feel bad about your buddies doing all the work, the option is still there to take scavanging and crafting into your own hands. That's not really possible while you're offline, however - but the crew members will keep on working regardless. Whether you'll have to provide adequate pay and health benefits to these unfortunate peons is not really made clear.
