In an interview with Edge, Interplay President Eric Caen has suggested that Fallout Online - the MMO version of the Fallout universe - could debut in 2012.
The title has been much-delayed, due to a legal battle between Bethesda (current holders of the Fallout name) and Interplay (the original publishers.) However, things appear to now be moving along without legal intervention and Caen told Edge that a beta may be offered in the early months of 2012.
"We’re giving a lot of hints about the future of the game. We have a beta scheduled for 2012, with the commercial launch in the second half of 2012. We have 90 people working on it," Caen said.
"It’s not a shooting game we’re making. You can shoot, but it’s a very small portion of the game. The game itself is about reconstructing the world."
