Medal of Honor has sold more than 1.5 million units worldwide, publisher Electronic Arts has announced.
The figure was achieved after just four days on sale in the US and two days on sale in Europe.
“Medal of Honor is one of EA’s most storied franchises and we’re thrilled to see that fans worldwide have embraced it,” said EA president Frank Gibeau. “In this ultra competitive category, Medal of Honor stands out from the pack.”
Yesterday, analyst Michael Pachter said the game is unlikely to sell more than three million copies worldwide after receiving mixed reviews in the press.
EA yesterday announced it will give Medal of Honor gamers a free multiplayer mode on November 2.
