First Halo: Reach DLC Dated

Microsoft have announced that the first DLC for Halo: Reach will available from November 30.  The 'Noble' map pack, which will cost 800 MS points, contains three new maps and 250 Gamerscore.

According to the press release, the new maps promise to create conflict "on a galactic scale, from a frozen xeno-archaeology site harbouring centuries old secrets, to an orbital anchor defending the stars high above planet Reach and to mysterious places far, far beyond".

Tempest is set on an abandoned shoreline faciltity that harbours two opposing symmetrical bases and "bends both sea and sky to an unnatural purpose, but the ground itself has quickly become another all to familiar battlefield" and promises to be "perfectly suited for small and large scale skirmishes".

Tempest supports 8-16 players across a number of games types including Free for All, Team Slayer, Team Objective and Big Team Battle and offers numerous Forge options to create custom maps to share with the community.

On a slighter smaller scale, Anchor 9 is set on a low orbit UNSC dry-dock and features mirrored interior hallways and an open central hangar bay.  Close quarters combat promises to feature strongly with the map only supporting 2-8 players in game modes including Free for All, Team Slayer and Team Objective.

Finally, Breakpoint is made up of archaeological labs set atop an icy precipice in which "UNSC ground and air assests have been deployed to bolster entrenched Spartan countermeasures".  Breakpoint supports 8-16 players and supports the Invasion and Big Team Battle game modes.
