A demo for EA's upcoming mixed-martial arts game, EA Sports MMA, is now available via Xbox Live and the Playstation Network.
The demo, which weighs in at 1.26GB, contains the 'MMA 101' mode (read; tutorial) that pits "rivals" Jake Shields and Jason "Mayhem" Miller against one another at the Horizon Centre in Japan.
You'll also be able to play 'Fight Now' mode with two fighters from the heavyweight division - Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem and former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley - and two from the middlewieght class; the aforementioned Shields and Miller.
Interestingly, those who recommend the demo to their friends will earn a 'classic' Randy Couture character that will be playable with the full version of the game.
EA Sports MMA is due for release in the UK October 19 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
