Fresh Costumes Announced For Super Street Fighter IV, PC Release Unlikely

Capcom has revealed that Super Street Fighter IV will be getting a fresh set of alternative costumes for all 35 of its fighters, "over the next few months."

Other than confirming that the very first batch of these downloadable costume packs will be coming to both Xbox 360 and PS3 on 26 October, the news release isn't terribly forthcoming. Regarding later releases, it simply states "Timing and pricing vary by platform."

Last time around, the individual packs were $4.00 USD apiece (which got you costumes for five characters) and the complete pack was $18.00 USD.

In other Super Street Fighter IV news, producer Yoshinori Ono has told Gamasutra that a PC version of the title is unlikely to ever appear, due to piracy concerns. Strangely, Ono also ruled out a Steam-only release, arguing that this would be unfair to those who could not purchase games via digital distribution.

Look down for some costume pack screenshots.
