After announcing the MMO racer will be going completely free-to-play, EA has revealed Need For Speed World has passed one million users.
It's an impressive feat with the game only releasing late-July and EA has been impressed with how well the game has taken off.
“Need for Speed fans have played a critical role in making Need for Speed World a success. Fan feedback has helped shape every aspect of the experience - whether it’s the creation of a new feature or improving polish and progression,” said John Doyle, senior producer for Need for Speed World. “We’re excited to open the gates so that every Need for Speed World player now has free access to all current and future content including new modes, cars, features and more.”
EA has also announced plans for the future for the racer including updates which will add more cars, a deep customisation options for performance, a brand new region for the online world and also a co-op pursuit mode.
