Shinichi Suzuki, the CEO of Atlus USA, has issued a statement about the future of the company through its official website.
There had been some concern about Atlus' continued autonomy after it was announced that parent company Index Holdings would be absorbing the publisher-developer in October.
"We want to assure our fans and affiliates that Atlus remains in operation and will continue, as always, to support our beloved community with the finest quality game experiences possible," Suzuki's statement says.
"The Atlus-Index merger allows us to achieve greater synergy among the Index group companies and further strengthens the foundation of Atlus, both in Japan and here in the United States."
If completely accurate, that's good news for fans of Atlus' work. We're even prepared to let him get away with using the word 'synergy.'
