Enslaved: Odyssey To The West Goes Gold

Namco Bandai has sent through word that Ninja Theory's Enslaved: Odyssey To The West has gone gold (or, in normal parlance 'is finished and ready to be published now.')

That means the title should be right on course for its proposed 5 (US) and 8 (EU) October release dates, when interested parties will be able to get hold of it. Watch the developers talking about main characters of Trip and Monkey; a duo linked by a technological slave collar that means if Trip dies in action, Monkey is a goner too. Alarming news for the player, as Monkey is the chap who'll be under their control.

Third-person combat, strategy and "environmental traversal" (that's "jumping puzzles" to you or I) will feature heavily, as you try to work with AI partner Trip to get yourself out of this mess.
