Dr. Stephen Turnbull, the advisor and historical consultant on both Shogun: Total War titles, has divulged a little more information about the sequel to IncGamers.
"The Hero units are all drawn from history," he told us, in reference to the addition of individual warriors of considerable renown. "[They're] selected to ensure that they are balanced across all clans."
Turnbull also enthused about the "exciting" siege battles, which Creative Assembly appears to be taking in a new direction for Shogun 2: Total War. "Instead of just open courtyards, they are maze-like in structure, allowing you to lure the enemy into an ambush and strategize more thoroughly either in defence or attack," Turnbull says.
