Following on from news that Dundee-based Realtime Worlds went into administration, it has emerged that there has been interest from both sides of the atlantic to buy the firm.
A statement from joint administrator Paul Dounis read: “We are actively pursuing all these expressions of interest which have come from both the UK and US. We very much regret the redundancies that we have had to make”.
The administrator confirmed that the developer had run up debts of £3 million to trade creditors in the UK, but added that a total of 53 jobs in the UK and 14 in the US would be retained. In total, 185 jobs have been lost.
The company has confirmed it will continue to run its flagship title APB for the time being as talks continue over its future.
