MAG To Get Move Support And More

The guys at Zipper Interactive have revealed online 256 player shooter MAG will be receiving support for PlayStation Move in an upcoming patch.

Making the announcement on the official MAG Blog the team is also working on a huge expansion and wants the MAG community to beta test it.

Starting 24 August all current MAG owners will be available to download the MAG beta client from the PlayStation Store and test out some of the up and coming features for the game.

Included in the update will be the much sought after Clan Deploy allowing clans to queue upto 128 clan members in a variety of game types, so for example two clans could battle it out in Domination 128 v 128.

A brand new DLC game-type will also be available to test titled Escalation. For the first time ever all three PMCs will be battling it out on the same map for one objective. All the maps will be never seen before designs and will support up to 96 players in 32 v 32 v 32 warfare. Zipper also revealed nine new weapons will be available to unlock when the DLC pack goes live.

One of the bigger announcements and something that the community has been begging for since the successful releasewas the ability to have more than one character slots to allow players to test out every PMC. Well the Beta client will be testing the ability to support multiple character slots in preparation for an update in the future. Sounds like a winner to us.

To access to the beta client players will have to download it off the PS Store and then insert there MAG disc to sign in and boot the beta service. For the full announcement head over to the MAG Blog here.
