FIFA 11 To Allow Players To Play As Goalkeeper

If you have ever fancied yourself as the next Peter Cech, Pepe Reina or Kelvin Davis, yes my Southampton FC roots are showing, then FIFA 11 will give you the chance to play as the goalkeeper in FIFA 11.

For the first time players will be able to control the GK in the online 11 v 11 game mode and EA Sports are also offering players the chance to participate in a 15 season long Be A Goalkeeper mode.

Depending on your skill level there will be fully assisted, semi-assisted and no assits to allow you freedom of playing as the man in between the sticks.

While the potential of pulling off some world class saves does appeal to me, I'm beginning to wonder whether the role will be abused with players trying to take on the whole opposition team. Then again I suppose it never stopped this bloke.
