Capcom's Lost Planet 2 has finally got itself a PC release date of 15 October.
The game will have support for both DirectX 9 and DirectX 11, and Capcom has provided a handy benchmark tool (955 MB) to let players see if their graphics cards can handle the release.
There are two tests involved in the benchmark program: the first simply explores whether your PC will be able to run Lost Planet 2, while the second is DirectX 11 oriented and attempts to push your box to its limits. You can expect to see such wonders as smoke with "lifelike volume" and water surfaces that "react realistically" to interaction and bullets.
