Valve Teases New L4D DLC

At the tail end of a new blog post about the latest Left 4 Dead 2 mutations, Valve has raised the spectre of DLC for the original game.

The previous DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, The Passing, was always supposed to be a double-header with a new Left 4 Dead campaign. While The Passing revealed the death of one of the original survivors (ok, let's stop being coy, we all know it's Bill by now,) Valve has previously suggested that some DLC for the first game would expand on this plot point and tell the story of how he died.

It seems this is back on the radar, as the news post states: "If you played The Passing, you know that Bill dies. If you didn’t play The Passing, sorry for the spoiler. We will be explaining Bill’s death in an upcoming comic and DLC." This is followed by a short quiz in which participants are invited to guess the cause of Bill's death.

(It was smoking, obviously - the guy never went anywhere without a ciggie.)
