Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition Announced

EA has revealed a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition including post-launch add-ons and a code for Battlefield 1943.

The Ultimate Edition will include the rather disappointing four-player Onslaught Mode while the original limited edition unlocks which will give you instant access to six weapons for the multiplayer game have also been included.

All of the VIP downloads will also be included however they aren’t as special as they sound. As we’ve noted the “VIP” map packs sound like a good idea all that DICE has done is release the same levels included in the game but made them playable for the other game modes.

The most important addition to the Ultimate Edition is the fantastic XBLA and PSN title Battlefield 1943 bringing some online WW2 goodness back to gamers that is if you ever get bored of the already compelling multiplayer for Bad Company 2.

If you’ve not picked up Battlefield: Bad Company 2 then head over to see why we gave the game a remarkable 9.1 and then pick up the Ultimate Edition as it seems like a great deal. However for fans who already own the standard edition of the game I can’t see this being worth the pennies.
