Lionhead Studios head-honcho Peter Molyneux has revealed he wants Fable III to be the biggest selling title of the series and hopes for five million sales on the Xbox 360 worldwide.
While speaking to MCV, Molyneux revealed he hoped this could be achieved by bringing “less clutter” to the game.
“We want more than five million people playing Fable III on the Xbox 360, full stop,” he stated not even considering the sales figures for the later-launch of the PC version.
“Part of that plan is less clutter in the game, less aggravating little inventions that Peter Molyneux once thought was a good idea,” talking about previous ideas he had added in himself, before stating the game will have “More clarity, better story, better cast, better balance.”
A strong cast of voice-actors have leant their talents to the game with Stephen Fry, John Cleese, Jonathan Ross and Simon Pegg all providing numerous lines of dialogue for some of the most pivotal NPC’s in the game.
Molyneux went onto say that he believed the sales could be achieved by bringing “fresh ideas and a new feel to the game.”
Sounds good let’s just hope it’s not the trail of broken dreams that the IncGamers’ office has come to accept when it comes to Peter Molyneux and his promises.
