Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has contributed to a 245% increase in profits for Konami.
The company has confirmed the game has sold 127 million copies worldwide in the Q1 financial period and this has attributed to the massive increase in sales.
“Sales of [Peace Walker] progressed steadily, with the game receiving favorable reviews-it became the first PSP title to receive a perfect score of 40 points in an industry magazine's cross review. Furthermore, co-op modes, etc., which leverage the characteristic features of handheld gaming devices, are being well received by hardcore Metal Gear fans," read the financial report from Konami.
Due to the sales of Metal Gear Solid the share of Konami’s sales for the PSP increased to 40% a massive increase from the 17% reported in June.
Sounds like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been a massive hit all around, now lets just hope Kojima works out the difficulties of a PS3 port in the near future.
