Cryptic is eager for former Star Trek Online subscribers to get a taste of the new features added by the recent Season Two launch, offering them a chance to sample this content for free as part of a 'Welcome Back Weekend.'
Details of the event (which actually began yesterday, despite that clearly not being a weekend) are explained in an FAQ post at the Star Trek Online forums. "If you have ever applied a Retail Product Key for Star Trek Online to your account, you are eligible to participate in the Welcome Back Weekend," it states "All you have to do is patch up and log in."
The offer runs until 10.00am (Pacific Time - around 6.00pm in the UK) on 9 August. In addition, "Demo account holders will see no change to their accounts during this special weekend. All Demo restrictions will still apply."
