Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den DLC Revealed

New single player DLC for BioShock 2 has been revealed by 2K promising new weapons, enemies and a never-seen-before Big Daddy.

Unlike the recently released Protector Trials DLC the Minerva’s Den add-on will feature an additional storyline rather than just a wave-based gameplay feature.

“Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture,” said 2K president Christoph Hartmann.

You will take the role of a brand new character and will team up with Brigid Tenenbau to subdue the reign of a dictator in one of the districts of Rapture.

Hartmann added, “The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga.”

New weapons as well as a extra Plasmid will feature, 2K also promises new variants of Splicers and also a never-seen-before type of Big Daddy. Sounds good.

The DLC hasn’t been given a price or release date yet but will be available on both PSN and Xbox LIVE. In the meantime check out why you should be playing the immersive FPS in our review of Bioshock 2 here.
