Sony: Time To Focus On Hardcore Market

Sony Computer Entertainment UK has confirmed to IncGamers that PlayStation is now planning to focus on hardcore gamers in the coming months.

“The past year SCE UK had been focussing on the Family and Kids audience” explained UK community manager MusterBuster at the recent PlayStation Beta Rooms event in an exclusive sit-down interview with IncGamers' James Chalmers.

“We now want to bring back the focus on hardcore gamers, we realise the hardcore gamers are the ones that are actively involved in the community and are constantly giving feedback not to mention being the most dedicated”

He added, “our plan is to utilise the key influencers within our community to spread the news about our upcoming software.”

He added his personal wishes for future events, “What I would personally want is 200 people playing Killzone in a tournament but all done in one room over the weekend.”

Check back in the coming days for full coverage of the Beta Rooms event.
