In an effort to entice gamers to snap up Kinect for launch and the holiday season, Microsoft UK are taking their latest piece of kit on the road to share the experience with UK gamers. Microsoft will be hitting various theme parks between August and December as well as the rather odd choice of The Clothes Show Live.
Microsoft will be setting up camp the following locations:
- 1-30 August to 30 September 2010 Alton Towers
- 7-22 August 2010 London Zoo
- 11-12 September 2010 The Thames Festival in London
- 21-31 October 2010 Chessington World of Adventures
- 2-8 December 2010 Clothes Show Live in Birmingham (NEC)
Microsoft will also have a special summer location at Covent Garden in London in a special designed venue dubbed the Kinect Galleries. The venue opens on 31 July and gamers can book a slot to try out Kinect via a dedicated booking site which has gone live today.
Microsoft will be showing Kinect Adventures!, Dance Central, Kinect Joyride and Kinectimals at the Galleries and on the road trip.
If you want to show everyone how much of a muppet you look playing Kinect, Microsoft has also set up a site at www.kinect.me where a 25 second clip of you playing with Kinect can be shared with others.![]()
