Blizzard Announces US Venue For Starcraft II Midnight Launch

Various European midnight launch events for Starcraft II were announced by Blizzard last week, and now citizens of the United States have an official event to attend too.

Of course, the US is rather a big place. But if you happen to be in the area around Fountain Valley, California on 26 July you might be able to stop by Fry's Electronics where the launch is being held.

Blizzard's sub-site has more details, including the news that "In addition to the game itself, there will be special prize giveaways, on-stage multiplayer matches, live music, and more."

Persons dwelling in North America or Canada who live nowhere near Fountain Valley, do not despair just yet: "Other select retail locations around the U.S. and Canada will also be hosting midnight launches for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty." Again, head over to the official midnight launch site to see if a Walmart, Gamestop or Best Buy near you is holding an event.
