Blur is “the start of a big franchise” according to creators Bizarre Creations.
Bizarre’s Nick Davies explained to GamerZines that despite the low sales the company was planning on working titles for the grown-up kart racer.
"I think it was a very busy time for racing games, it came out at the same time as ModNation Racers and Split/Second," Davies explained in regards to the low sale figures.
He added, “I think the multiplayer will stay for a long time and I think people will come back to that time and time again, long after some of the other games have gone back to the second-hand shelf.”
Davies went onto describing the game as a “slow burner” and thinks the popularity of the game will continue to grow.
He went onto say the plan was to create “the number one racing franchise” and that a sequel would be planned in the future.
At the current time Bizarre is working on the brand new James Bond game which was announced at the end of last week entitled James Bond 007: Blood Stone.
