Mafia 2 DLC Detailed

2K Games has released the first information about the DLC for Mafia 2.

Two add-on packs have been detailed with the first, The Betrayal of Jimmy, being a free download on the day of release through the PlayStation Store and will be exclusive for the PS3.

The second pack Jimmy’s Vendetta will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and will launch “soon after” the release of Mafia 2.

The Betrayal Of Jimmy will put you in the role of Jimmy who is a mercenary for hire. Dozens of new “arcade-style” missions will be available in the pack including assassination style missions as well as vehicle-based objectives.

Skill shots, power slides and performance will all be totalled in a new ranking system with online leaderboards to see who really is the biggest hitman in Empire Bay.

In Jimmy’s Vendetta, which was outed earlier this week, players will have to help Jimmy clean up mobster’s messes while at the same time scoring points to climb a separate online leaderboard. Price or release date will be revealed at a later date by 2K.

Mafia 2 will launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 27 August, check out what 2K had to say about Mafia 2 in our video interview from E3 here.
