Activision has today announced Apache: Air Assault for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The flight sim, in development with Gaijin Entertainment, puts players in control of various Apache attack helicopters outfitted with the latest weaponry.
Featuring 16 multi-stage missions in locales ranging from the coast of Africa to the jungles of Central America, the game uses real world satellite photography to recreate its levels. Aiming to appeal to a wide range of players, Apache will sport Arcade and Realistic difficulty settings while two players can team up in a local co-op mode with one player acting as the co-pilot. Online fans will be glad to know it will also feature competitive multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch, Ground Attack, Capture the LZ and Ground Strike.
The game is due to hit store shelves this autumn.
