Sega has confirmed the planned patch for the console version of Aliens vs. Predator has been scrapped.
Assistant community manager Clumsyorchid confirmed the news in the AVP forums.
“I've just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped” he unfortunately revealed.
He added, “For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you'd like to see.”
Clumsyorchid promised to “keep fighting internally” but until Sega changes it's mind then the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of AVP will not be patched.
When asked about the PC patches he said he has “heard nothing on PC patches and would not assume there will be any changes unless stated otherwise.”
