StarCraft II European Midnight Openings

Blizzard has just announced that StarCraft II will receive a midnight launch event on the night of July 26th in London, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm and Moscow. EB Games have also announced a Brisbane launch event.

Each of these events will be accompanied with a Blizzard representative. Stockholm and Paris got the top guys, with Chris Sigaty and Dustin Browder respectively, and lower ranked developers are visiting other cities.

The events will start on varying (local) times across Europe: London 22:30 (10:30 pm); Berlin 22:30; Paris 19:30; Stockholm 19:00; Moscow 20:00; Brisbane 21:30. Activities and prizes for these events will also be added soon for European events, but if the Australian ones are anything to go by, it might be stuff like a trivia contests, cosplay contests, "Sound-a-like" contests and photo opportunities with Jim Raynor in a full CMC body armour.

For more of the details, see StarCraft: IncGamers reports on Europe and Australia. We'll get back to you on North American openings as soon as information becomes available.
