Gran Turismo 5 To Feature "Complete Online System"

Polyphony Digital Kaz Yamauchi has assured PS3 owners Gran Turismo 5 will feature a “complete online system” never seen before in a Gran Turismo game.

"We're finally going to have a complete online system," Yamauchi told the latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine.

He added, "What's really unique about the online GT5 is 'My Lounge'. You can gather here, you can race together here, and you can actually watch other people race from this room."

The main hub for the online aspect of the eagerly awaited GT5 will be called ‘My Lounge’ featuring support for 32 players to chat in parties as well as giving players the ability to set up 16 player races or drop in and spectate on races already happening online.

A constant news feed in the form of a bulletin board will feature giving players the option to catch up on all the community and online news as well as sending and receiving mail and also checking on friends progress in the game.

Gran Turismo 5 finally launches on 2 November exclusively for PlayStation 3 and comes with not one, but two special editions on launch day.
