Heido Kojima has discussed the possibility of porting PSP hit Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to the PS3 citing it would be a “challenge”.
Talking to JeuxVideo, the Metal Gear Solid creator revealed he wouldn’t bring Peace Walker to PS3 in the form it is in.
“I can not say I'll do a direct conversion of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Playstation 3. However, this game was a challenge in terms of its development on the PSP for me and I probably will preserve the base of it."
He did give fans of the series some hope though saying if the game did ever get ported to another console “I would add even more depth to the story.”
Sony was contemplating bringing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to PS3 using the PlayStation Network earlier this year but so far nothing has come about.
Konami recently revealed Kojima will continue to work on future Metal Gear Solid games in the series this is despite Shigenobu Matsuyama working on the recently revealed Metal Gear Solid Rising.
Would you like to see Peace Walker on PS3? I certainly would especially as I’ve racked up 40 hours plus on the PSP version. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
