Nintendo has confirmed that Metroid Other M will be released on the 2 September in Japan and the 3 September in Europe, after news last week of the North American release date.
The eagerly anticipated Wii exclusive game will be co-developed by Nintendo and Team Ninja giving it a mix of the classic Metroid platform game play and that of Ninja Gaiden's.
Players will be able to choose between first or third person shooting depending on the way the held the Wii remote.
The game is a sequel of the classic Super Metroid and will feature English voice acting with over an hour of cut-scenes.
