The merger between Mythic and BioWare has become more official today with the renaming of Mythic to BioWare Mythic.
The news came via the latest producer’s letter for Warhammer Online.
As apart of the merger European publishing rights are also being transferred from GOA to BioWare Mythic.
“As you now know, we are working with GOA to transition the European community over to Bioware Mythic (Like the fancy new name? We’re still getting used to it ourselves),” revealed WAR’s Carrie Gouskos.
This follows on from last year, which saw Mythic merged with BioWare but both companies planned to be separate entities; up until now.
To manage the move EU players will be moved to mirrored servers hosted by BioWare Mythic in Germany until everything is back in its new environment.
Gouskos also revealed the team is still monitoring population levels on numerous servers and “will consider server consolidations” when “necessary.”
Going forward a few thousand years in the Warhammer universe, Danny Bilson has revealed THQ hopes that the Warhammer 40K MMO will attract one million players when it launches.
