Heavy Rain DLC Shelved For Move Support

Heavy RainQuantic Dream's David Cage has explained how pressure from Sony to finalise Move support led to the cancellation of Heavy Rain's DLC.

Speaking to NowGamer, Cage revealed that the Chronicles DLC episodes are now on hold as the team focuses on Sony's motion controller.

"We proposed three episodes about one hour long and being focused on the background of the main characters,” said Cage.

“I thought fans would really enjoy these episodes because they explained many aspects of HR and why characters are who they are."

"Unfortunately, Sony preferred to ask us to focus on Move to support the device rather than on creating new content," he added, revealing that the team could not afford to do both, without delaying its new project, for which casting has apparently already begun.

Cage added: “This is a decision I can understand, and I am certainly happy we had the opportunity to play with this device and to support it, although I am certainly disappointed for fans we could not finish the story of HR the way we intended."

Are you disappointed by the news? Or would you prefer to play through the game again with motion controls? Let us know in the comments.
