Next City of Heroes Expansion Dated


City of Heroes fans will be able to get their hands on the second major expansion for the game, City of Heroes Going Rogue, on 17 August. The expansion will give players the opportunity to make "gripping moral decisions that can alter the fate of their character, the world around them and the content they can play".

The game will be on show at the San Diego Comic Con taking place 22-25 July and gamers will be able to hands-on as well as take part in special events and giveaways. NCSoft has also teamed with Gamestop and Razer to bring special in-game enhancements and a Rogue Edition Desktop Skin.

ComicCon events will include:

  • Exclusive Comic Con giveaways, including in-game costume items
  • A chance to meet the City of Heroes Going Rogue developers
  • Witness their characters become true comic book archetypes as art lead and well-known comic book artist David Nakayama sketches lucky heroes and villains into captivating art pieces
  • Attend the “Reinventing a Superheroic MMO” panel featuring the City of Heroes Going Rogue lead developers on Thursday, July 22 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM PDT.
  • Party with other members of the City of Heroes community, the Paragon team and comic book fans alike at the exclusive Going Rogue Preview Event, taking place Friday, July 23 from 7:30 – 11:00 PM PDT at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Tickets required.

Also, fans who pre-order the City of Heroes Going Rogue Complete Collection retail box from GameStop will earn five exclusive in-game enhancements as well as a Free Razer Sphex City of Heroes Going Rogue Edition Desktop Skin while sticks last. More info on the deal can be found here.
