Nintendo has confirmed the Nintendo 3DS will launch in most "major markets by 31 March 2011."
The new Nintendo 3DS was revealed at E3 last week which will include 3D gaming, a camera capable of taking semi-3D pictures and also adds an analogue stick to the side of the handheld.
However Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has explained to Industry Gamers why there isn't a release date or a recommended retail price set in stone for the 3DS.
"The reason we haven't announced a launch date or pricing is that, first, we wanted to get reaction here [E3]" he explained.
Although he did give a deadline to when the 3DS will be available to most people, "the one thing, for sure, is that we will launch in all of our major markets by March 31, 2011."
Fils-Aime also revealed the final design for 3DS hasn't been decided yet saying "when we get all that feedback [about the 3DS contols], then we'll finalise the design."
