Alpha Protocol Patch Planned, DLC Unlikely

Choice-based RPG Alpha Protocol seemed to polarise reviewer opinion on release (often the sign of a title trying something interesting), but most agreed that the game's experience was marred by a few bugs.

Naturally enough, owners of the game are eager to hear any news of a patch - and GameBanshee managed to dig some up at E3 by speaking with Obsidian's Chris Avellone and Feargus Urquhart.

According to Avellone, "We're working on one, but we don't have an exact release date yet."

Urquhart appeared to suggest that differing opinions between the developers and publisher SEGA need to be ironed out first: "We wanted to release something fairly quickly based upon some feedback we were getting. I think [SEGA] wanted to take a different approach by gathering more information over a longer period of time ... That's what we're figuring out right now."

Any chance of DLC, however, seems slim. According to Urquhart, "We're not working on any DLC right now. We'd love to, but we're not."
