Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has revealed hopes of a "online Call of Duty world."
Speaking in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Kotick was asked what he would want if he could "snap his fingers."
"I would have Call of Duty be an online subscription service tomorrow" was his response.
He explained, "When you think about what the audience's interests are and how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities, I would love to see us have an online Call of Duty world."
While this could mean a potential online community for the Call of Duty series it once again can reignite the rumours of a Call of Duty MMO produced by a mysterious third developer.
Kotick went onto to talk about the potential of adding additional content to make the game "even more fun to play" and said the Call of Duty series has had "1.7 billion hours of multiplayer play on LIVE."
When the Activision CEO was asked about whether this talk could become a reality Kotick only replied with a "hopefully." Make of that as you will.
