Ubisoft has announced creative director Patrice Désilets has left his position and walked away from the Assassin's Creed series.
Game Informer broke the news and since then Ubisoft has confirmed that "Désilets has decided to take a creative break from the industry."
Désilets was apart of Ubisoft Motreal since it started and since then has been a pivotal member of the development of the Assassin's Creed series.
It's a blow for Ubisoft Montreal especially after Jade Raymond left the studio last year to head up the new Toronto offices.
Ubisoft hasn't confirmed who will be taking over Désilets' role and whether the change will affect the development of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
The next Assassin's Creed is expected to be on show at E3 this week however this could change with Désilets abrupt departure. Check back for more news on Assassin's Creed and E3 as we get it.
