El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Next Year

Following it's recent Japanese debut, Ignition has announced that their third person PS3 and 360 action title El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will be coming to North America and Europe next year.

The third person fantasy action title is 'inspired' by events from the Old Testament and the 'Book of Enoch'. Before you switch off completely thinking this is some sort of weird bible title, the games follows the lead character Enoch who's embroiled in a battle raging between Heaven and the Fallen Angels. According to Ignition the game "combines adventure, humour, and horror".

The game has been created by Sawaki Takeyasu (Game Director, Character Designer) and Masato Kimura (Producer), who have been involved with titles such as Devil May Cry, Okami and Viewtiful Joe. 

Ignition will be showing El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron at E3 next week to the western audience.
