King Arthur: Saxons Expansion To Add Sandbox Mode

Neocore has announced the latest DLC expansion for the excellent King Arthur: The Role Playing Wargame.

The Saxons will add a brand new campaign, promising 30+ hours of Christian vs Pagan hostilities, as well as all the new units, heroes and items you'd expect from such a thing.

More importantly, it will bring a sandbox mode to the title, allowing you to tweak almost everything from victory conditions, the power of magic and even how aggressive the AI enemy is. This is a sizeable deviation from the story-led narrative campaign of the original title, but an addition players are likely to find very welcome indeed.

There's also a "complex diplomatic management" function promised, which, if it works better than it does in Total War, will allow alliances between factions.

The Saxons expansion is "due to arrive very soon," and as yet is unpriced.

Cast your kingly eye over the screenshots below for an early look at the victory conditions toggle, the diplomacy screen and some angelic new units.
