Take-Two has confirmed Rockstar's western Red Dead Redemption has surpassed 5 million sales worldwide.
The news came via the company's Q2 2010 financial report announcing the game has sold over 5 million units to date since it's release on 18 May.
It's not a surprise considering it was announced as Amazon's biggest ever pre-ordered title a couple of weeks back. Since the games release it has held on to the top spot of the UK Games Charts for now three weeks in a row.
We are majorly impressed with Rockstar's open world western, and with the announcement of the 'Outlaws To The End' DLC coming later this month we can see Red Dead Redemption continuing to be one of the biggest titles of the summer.
Don't forget to check the other news, which came out at the earnings report including the Mafia II release date and demoannouncement along with the unfortunate news that Max Payne 3 has been delayed (again) until 2011.
