Team17 has announced Alien Breed: Impact for the PC and PlayStation 3.
Impact is a "heavily expanded" version of Alien Breed: Evolution, which hit the Xbox 360 late last year.
Players can expect a tougher game that requires "more individual exploration," with extra customisation in terms of being able to use cash you loot from corpses and locker to upgrade weapons. There are unnamed enhancements to the co-op experience, and an "updated and expanded introduction" in the form of a prologue campaign.
We'll be seeing this sometime this summer. Alien Breed: Evolution was a little underwhelming, so we're hoping that these improvements will help make this updated version an even bigger hit than its predecessor, which hit number two in the LIVE Arcade sales charts over Christmas.
