The Secret World To Include PvP Arenas, Full VOs

The Secret World developers have answered a long list of questions put forward by the community, revealing some interesting facts about the upcoming MMO.

One of the biggest revelations was that the game will feature not only PvP, but specialised areas for it. The Secret World's game director, Ragnar Tørnquist, spilled the beans but left the details perilously thin when he simply said:

“We haven’t really talked about this yet, but what the hell: there will be arenas for PvP matches – in addition to the ongoing society battle for world domination.”

Another fact that fans will be very pleased to learn is that all NPC characters will have full voice-overs, not just for story missions, but for every mission. That's the same thing BioWare is doing for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Other tidbits to come from the Q&A included the news that the social areas in TSW will be places for players to engage in non-combat activities, although those activities still remain a secret. There's no news on mounts or vehicles yet either, but Tørnquist jokingly agreed with the fan who asked the question, saying that “dinosaur mounts would clearly be awesome.”

Tørnquist wouldn't be pressed on the matter of societies and the ability to have different characters in different societies, but he did confirm that characters would not be able to switch organisations.

On the topic of magic, it turns out there'll be what you might expect in a modern-day MMO; voodoo, illusionism and demonology to name a few.

Finally, he described the game as a heavily story-driven MMORPG with tons of cool action. Stay tuned for more about this game as we get it.
