Killzone 2 Composer Wins Ivor Award

Joris de Man, composer for Killzone 2, won the Best Original Video Game Score award at yesterday's Ivor Novello Awards Ceremony.

The Ivors are presented annually by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors, and this is the first time the Best Original Video Game Score award has been included.

"I'm ecstatic to have been awarded the Ivor for my work on Killzone 2," said de Man. "It is an honour to receive such recognition and it has special significance this year in particular as it's the first time the category has been included at the awards."

Aww. As a special note to our Swedish readers, de Man will be at the Joystick 3.0 event tonight, where the Malmö Symphony Orchestra will be performing some of the music from Killzone 2.
