Film studios are competing to snap up the film rights to Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain.
According to a Deadline exclusive, an auction for the rights is coming to a close with Unique Features, comprised of New Line alumni Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, close to securing a deal.
Shaye and Lynne are apparently so keen on Quantic Dream's murder mystery title that they posted the top bid using their own money, rather than awaiting approval from Warner Bros as part of their 'first look' agreement.
