Aion's Double XP Weekends Cut Back With 1.9

Aion - Tower of EternityNCsoft has announced that, after the release of patch 1.9, the regular double XP weekends will be reduced in frequency.

This change is due to the tweaks being made in patch 1.9, which goes live on 2 June. However, players shouldn't totally despair, the special bonus weekends won't be vanishing completely. In fact, players should find it easier to gain levels after the patch thanks to several new ways to enhance progression.

If you need reminding, 1.9 will introduce more quests, increased XP rewards for existing quests and the new Energy of Salvation system which grants XP bonuses and you continue to play.

Having said all that, this Friday sees another double XP event. As usual, it kicks off at 20:00 server time and runs until Monday morning. See the official announcement for more details.
