Runes Of Magic: Chapter III Goes Live

Runes of MagicAfter one long build-up, Runes of Magic's latest update, Chapter III 'The Elder Kingdoms' has gone live.

Players can now explore new zones on the vast continent of Zandorya, take part in a new PvP battleground in the Tyrefen Mountain Range, and try out the advanced skills system. An integrated voice chat system has also been added to RoM.

To celebrate the launch, from tomorrow all players can participate in the Level 58 Olympics, where they can obtain valuable item packages. Keep an eye on the official forums for more info on that.

Here's a run-down of what's new in Chapter III:

  • Level-cap raised to 58
  • Two new zones with brand new dungeons and world bosses
  • Enabling of battles involving entire guilds with the new siege wars feature
  • Expanded monster compendium
  • New party search tool
  • New crafting system to create fusion stones with individual values
  • Newly expanded skill system linked to armor sets
  • Two selectable difficulty levels in the most challenging dungeons
  • New token system allowing players to trade for exclusive armor sets
  • Guild buffs available in guild castles
  • New guild mini-games

But there's more to come; Over the course of Chapter III the level cap will be raised to 60, two new mounts will become available, there will be new role playing elements including a marriage system, more dungeons and more zones.
