Bioshock 2 DLC Due Today

General ScreenshotBioshock 2's previously-delayed DLC now has a release date of 11 May on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network.

The package has become a three-parter, promising new maps, chaps and thwacks. A Windows Live release will follow on an as yet unspecified date.

Most of the new stuff will be in the Rapture Metro Map Pack, which features six new multiplayer maps, along with new achievements and trophies. This is priced at 800 MS Points / $9.99 USD.

A character pack is also being touted, though it appears that the two 'new' characters in this are simply Blanche and Zigo who were available via pre-orders. That'll set you back 160 MS Points or $1.99 USD.

Finally, a new melee-only Kill 'Em Kindly multiplayer mode is being released as a freebie. In this, the denizens of Rapture will put on some funny trousers and exclude ethnic minorities from their social gatherings. Wait! That's not true, it's actually about beating one another to death with golf clubs.

Like so:

In addition, the much-anticipated Bioshock 2 patch is out now for PS3, coming tomorrow for Xbox 360 and coming ... in the future for PC.
