Gran Turismo 5 "About 90 Percent Finished"

Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has claimed that Gran Turismo 5 is "about 90 percent finished."

This comes from Inside Line (via VG247), with Yamauchi presumably trying to explain why the game - which was due to hit Japanese PS3's last month - has been delayed until an undetermined timeframe "before 2011."

Yamauchi also stated that the game wouldn't be released until it "satisfied everyone's wishes and then exceeded them." As he's previously stated that he's "never fully satisfied" with what he creates, this seems to explain why we still haven't seen the game hit store shelves, and why we possibly never will if we're to take him at his word.

Then again, the Polyphony Digital man also claimed back in October that the team could "release the game any time [they] want," so who knows?

Gran Turismo 5 is due out on PlayStation 3. Eventually.
